I spent the last two weeks traveling in New York and Boston. In between trips, I made a stop at my best friend’s home in Albany, New York, for the weekend. I was pre-warned that I was visiting in the prime of girls fast pitch youth softball; my friend is the team manager and on the board of the organization. The best part? It was a tournament weekend, so we hosted some 20 plus games. This event required us to be up by 6:00 AM and close down at about 5:00 PM, which meant long days of concessions, t-shirt sales, field raking and being nice to lots of people.
